Matthew 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Jesus is looking for his believers to speak openly and publicly about the salvation he has provided. Labourers of the gospel were few in Jesus’ day as well as today, will you be moved with compassion to labour in his harvest?
Matthew 9:12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
Jesus proves his deity as God manifest in the flesh by his authority and power to forgive sins. Every man has the sickness of sin and requires Jesus the physician to provide healing.
Matthew 8:27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
Jesus came performing supernatural miracles such as healing the sick, casting out devils and even controlling nature itself. We are called to proclaim the great works of Christ.
Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
In order to judge righteously you must not be a hypocrite and have clear vision. Righteous judgment comes from knowing and building upon the word of God as your foundation.
Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
The sermon on the mount contains some of the most beautiful words in the bible. The high standard of christian living is challenging but comes with great reward.
Acts 8:36-37 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Matthew 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
Jesus set the example against Satan of how one ought to overcome temptation. Memorising and quoting the word of God will strengthen your resolve to overcome sin.

Matthew 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
Baptism is a picture of salvation through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He too was baptised at the commencement of his ministry knowing that his death would be the ultimate sacrifice.
