Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Hell is not a pleasant topic to preach on, but it is vitally important. It is a place of eternal torment never intended for man to experience. If you’re not doing what you can to preach the gospel to the lost, what is wrong with you?
1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
This sermon reinforces that Jesus Christ is 100% man yet 100% God. He is our Lord, creator, and saviour but was made flesh to taste death for every man.
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
There are three yet there is one: the Trinity. This sermon explains how to remain biblically balanced when reading scriptures without compromising on the plurality and singularity of God.
John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Once you have believed on Jesus Christ and received salvation it can never be lost. Those teaching that you can lose eternal life are simply adding works to the gospel through a “back-end” approach.
Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
It was promised that Jesus would baptise his believers with the Holy Spirit. We must be able to identify churches which are led and filled with the Spirit from those which feign spiritual experiences.
Luke 4:27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.
Being cleansed from leprosy was a rare occurrence and it pictured a sinner receiving salvation. Our riches in heaven are measured by whether we worked at pointing sinners to the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ.
Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Grievous wolves have entered the church and attacked the doctrine of repentance for salvation. It is important to boldly proclaim salvation without the deeds of the law and take a strong stance on true biblical repentance.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Salvation is based upon the shedding of the blood of Jesus Christ: his death, burial and resurrection. Many know this truth, but refuse to receive salvation on the basis of faith alone without the works of the law.
Psalm 12:6-7 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
We believe that the King James Bible is the preserved and perfect translation of the word of God into english. It is the final authority of our church in all doctrine and practice.
Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
God has allowed for faithful men that are following after Christ to serve as an example to younger believers. But the key is to remain balanced by keeping Jesus as the high standard and not elevate men to godhood.
